This park is 50 miles north east of Las Vegas. The $10 charge is worth it. Bring a picnic lunch and a good pair of hiking shoes. There is a small visitor center with nice displays and store.
The views are of unique sandstone formations similar to Zion, Arches and Badlands National Parks.
A nice camping spot at Beachside State Park near Waldport. Good times with family. Then up to Astoria at Fort Stevens State park.
There is a 35 mile loop through Wupatki and Sunset Crater National Monument. The road is in great condition and wide enough for RVs.
We enjoyed hiking around the ruins of 800 year old pueblos. It was very peaceful and not crowded.
